Observation of Long-Chain DNA in the Air

A long-chain DNA molecule was observed under an AFM in the air. This DNA is derived from bacteriophage and is 20 μm long. A string-like shape which is a characteristic of long-chain DNA molecules and the ends of the molecule (red arrows) can be identified.
