Observation Examples of Thin Film

These images show organic thin films (perylene-3, 4, 9, 10-tetra-carboxylic-dianhydride) epitaxially grown on graphite surfaces. The laminar growth of the films can be observed. The steps of approx. 0.3 nm can be clearly seen.
